Within the frames of the International Contest Many Languages, One World 2017 there were submitted essays written in one of the official languages of the UNO English by the students of the faculty of Oriental Studies DSU:Atlukhanova K., Gazimagomedov R., Labazanova S., Ulubiyev S. Their essays run about their global citizenship and cultural understanding, and the role that multilingual ability can play in fostering these; reflect the students' personal, academic, cultural and national context.A total of sixty contest winners will be selected through a rigorous three-stage process; ten winners in each of the six official languages of the United Nations. These winners will be invited to the United States to participate in a series of events between 15-26 July, 2017. These events will include a Global Youth Forum on “Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” in the context of multilingualism, cultural diversity and global citizenship, and the opportunity to present their views at United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
