Many Languages, One World 2017 Student Essay Contest and Global Youth Forum

                          
Within the frames of the International Contest Many Languages, One World 2017 there were submitted essays written  in one of the official languages of the UNO English by the students of the faculty of Oriental Studies DSU:Atlukhanova K., Gazimagomedov R., Labazanova S., Ulubiyev S. Their essays run about their global citizenship and cultural understanding, and the role that multilingual ability can play in fostering these; reflect the students' personal, academic, cultural and national context.
A total of sixty contest winners will be selected through a rigorous three-stage process; ten winners in each of the six official languages of the United Nations. These winners will be invited to the United States to participate in a series of events between 15-26 July, 2017. These events will include a Global Youth Forum on “Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” in the context of multilingualism, cultural diversity and global citizenship, and the opportunity to present their views at United Nations Headquarters in New York City.

In March, 27, in order to support Russian-Turkish relationships in economical and political spheres of life at the faculty of Oriental Studies DSU there was held a panel discussion( with a tea-break) devoted to Turkey(senior lecturer of the foreign languages academic department for humanities faculties of DSU Solodovnikova O.K.), its geographical, economical and political position in the world; about Turkish leaders and governing parties; NATO and EU membership and problems of the Kurdish minority.Students made presentations and reports and shared their knowledge with each other.It was a very informative lesson with much love to a friendly nation of Turks.

Every person is entitled to human rights without discrimination. The rights to equality and non-discrimination are cornerstones of human rights law. Yet in many parts of the world, discriminatory practices are still widespread, including racial, ethnic, religious and nationality based profiling, and incitement to hatred.

A joint meeting of the Research and Methodology Council DSU and the Methodology Council for Foreign Languages DSU

In February there was held a joint meeting of the Research and Methodology Council DSU and the Methodology Council for Foreign Languages DSU in a Conference hall of the DSU administration office. It ran about the foreign languages' teaching at nonlinguistic faculties. The speakers were: the chairman of the Research and Methodology Council DSU, the vice-rector for education Gasanov M., the chairman of the Methodology Council for Foreign Languages DSU, the dean  of the faculty of foreign languages Ashurbekova T. and the vice-rector for extramural education Dalgatov A.G. All the foreign language teachers of DSU were invited to take part in the meeting.

Bayramova Zh.A. (Associate professor of the foreign languages academic department for humanities faculties of DSU, the head of the department) is giving a talk on the problems of the foreign languages' teaching at nonlinguistical faculties.

The chairman of the Methodology Council for Foreign Languages DSU, the dean  of the faculty of foreign languages Ashurbekova T.I. is presenting new methodological technologies.
