Do you like tea?

In December, 19, students of the faculty of Oriental Studies DSU took part in the English lesson- presentation devoted to the International Tea Day conducted by the lecturers of the foreign languages academic department for humanities faculties of DSU Kurbanova E.O. and Solodovnikova O.K. Students played a sketch based on the legend about the tea origin, played a quiz and discussed what kind of tea is tastier and what cups are better for tea drinking. They demonstrated their skills of videodirectors while creating a film about Charlotte pie cooking, gave advice how to use teabags in lifehacks.The lesson ended with a game "Alias" in English and tea party with sweets and cakes.

 
  
  
 
 
  
  
 
 

International Scientific-Practical Conference in the Chechen Republic

In November 22-24, the representatives of the foreign languages academic department for humanities faculties of DSU Kurbanova E.O. and Solodovnikova O.K. along with the lecturers and the students of the faculty of Oriental Studies DSU took part in the International Scientific-Practical Conference in the Chechen Republic. They gave reports about one of the current problems on the territory of Dagestan-bilingualism and partticipated in discussion session under the guidance of a professor DSPU Dibirov I. A. During the course of the dicussion the participants changed ideas and opinions, made statements and resolutions.

 

We speak English👍

In November, 13, the students of the Dagestan State University under the guidance of scientific supervisors Aygunova T.S., Kurbanova E.O.,Sirazhudinova K.K., Solodovnikova O.K.took part in the International Scientific and Practice Conference "We speak English" held by the North-Caucasian Branch of the All-Russian State University of Justice. They had a  good chance to practice the English language skills in different subjects: education, culture, law, medicine, politics, economics, social studies. According to the results most of the participants, including the DSU students, were awarded by diplomas for the best reports in English. They demonstrated fluent speech, perfect pronounciation and deep knowledge in the subject they chose.

  

Discussion on historical issue. Crusades.

On the 18th of May the students of the faculty of history DSU took part in a panel discussion on historical issue (under the guidance of  the associate professor of the English language academic department for humanities faculties of DSU Omarova Z.M. ). The subject was historical significance and effect of the Crusades.

This problem was selected by the students due to their interest to this period of History.

At the beginning of the discussion the students and our guests watched film on this topic.

The participants exchanged their opinions and a heated debated followed then.

Each student gave his/her assessment of this period. As the result it was found out that the Crusades were a series of religious wars between Cristians and Muslims started primarily to secure control of holy sited considered sacred by both groups.

In all, eight major Crusade expeditions occured between 1096 and 1291. The bloody, violent and often ruthless conflicts propelled the status of European Christians, making them major players in the fight for the land in the Middle East.  

  

                                         

                                         

April...It's time for the conference!😊

In April, 17-20, DSU academic teaching staff and students participated in the annual research and practical conference. There were held traditional sessions at various faculties and departments DSU. Members of the foreign languages academic department for humanities faculties of DSU took active part in giving their talks in philology, linguistics, pedagogics. methodology, law, human rights etc. These photos and videos are the evidence of this hard and tense work at reports' materials.
